A) PowerHockey World Cup:
The U.S. EWHA will host the PowerHockey World Cup
in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
TOURNAMENT DATES: Sunday August 5th - Thursday August 9th, 2001
Location: Augsburg College (near downtown Minneapolis)
The U.S. EWHA has already been in contact with many teams from
around the world who want to compete. If you or someone you know
is interested in receiving more information please contact the U.S.
EWHA as soon as possible. At this time will can only allow 10 teams
to participate. We currently have 5 teams committed to attending
the tournament. We have another 10 teams currently trying to raise
money so they can participate.
The U.S. EWHA will be in need of many volunteers to help make this
event successful. Please contact us if you want to be a part of
the event.
B) NHLPA Goals & Dreams Fund supports the U.S. EWHA
The National Hockey League Player's Association Goals & Dreams
fund has chosen to support the U.S. EWHA. The Goals & Dreams
fund Advisory Board, comprised of prominent members of the hockey
community, including former NHL All-Star Mike Gartner, will support
the U.S. EWHA hockey programs by purchasing two portable hockey
board systems along with a portable electronic score board.
